The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs
Logo Design ∙ Brand Identity ∙ Brand Strategy
The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA as they are widely known) works to transform Chicago by mobilizing the Jewish community to be a powerful voice for economic, racial and social justice.
We worked together on a refreshed identity that would appeal simultaneously to established donors and engaged youth, making it more coherent and easier to use.
As a grassroots advocacy group, the identity needed to be simple enough to be used by multiple members and still retain impact and character. I utilized a 50/50 vertical grid for printed and social communications, along with simple photo treatments and type styles.
For social messaging, a key part of their outreach, I consolidated their content into four categories with distinct qualities that were focused and consistent within the brand voice.
Work completed at Son&Sons Brand Agency.
